Wynn Williams Auckland

SHORTLAND STREET, AUCKLAND /  230SQM
INTERIOR DESIGN / FF+E SPEC / PROCUREMENT

Wynn Williams had been looking to relocate to larger premises and expand their growing Auckland team for some time. An opportunity to take one of the last empty tenancies at a popular Shortland Street Tower building had seen a fast track program, driven both by client and landlord requirements.

Wynn Williams, one of New Zealand’s oldest law firms was also looking for their satellite Auckland office to embody not only the legacy and history of their founders, but an office that would clearly show their forward thinking and modern outlook. The arrival space uses a combination of materials to convey this message. The hard angular surfaces of glass, tile and aluminum are softened by the use of Walnut timber throughout. The use of geometry and lines is intentional and draws the occupier’s eye further into the space. The play of light and contrast of dark shades also plays on the viewer’s senses.
